  3. Usage: TbUtil <options>
  4.  
  5. Command line options available:
  6.  immunize <drive>       im  = Immunize/Clean boot/MBR of <drive>
  7.  getboot  <drive>       gb  = Save bootsector into file
  8.  store    [<filename>]  st  = Store system information
  9.  restore  [<filename>]  re  = Restore system information
  10.  compare  [<filename>]  co  = Compare system information
  11. Sub-options of option 'Immunize':
  12.  norepeat               nr  = Do not ask for next diskette
  13.  nomem                  nm  = Do not check for amount of RAM
  14. Sub-options of option 'Store':
  15.  description =<descr.>  de  = Add description to data file
  16. Sub-options of option 'Restore':
  17.  part                   pt  = Restore partition table
  18.  boot                   bo  = Restore bootsector of HD
  19.  cmos                   cm  = Restore CMOS

  22. It is HIGHLY recomended that you copy the TbUtil data file to a
  23. diskette. If your partition table gets damaged, you do not have
  24. access to your hard disks anymore, and you will need the data file!

  27. The information stored in this data file matches the current status
  28. of the PC completely! There is no need to restore the system layout.
  29. $
  30. The information in the CMOS data area has been changed.
  31. You can restore it if you want.

  33. The current partition table is NOT equal to the one stored into the
  34. TbUtil data file! It is recommended to restore it, except when you
  35. installed a new disk or changed your partition layout AFTER this
  36. TbUtil data file has been created.

  38. The current bootsector is NOT equal to the one stored into the
  39. TbUtil data file! It is recommended to restore it, except when you
  40. replaced DOS AFTER this TbUtil data file has been created.

  42. Warning: If the datafile was NOT created on this machine the wrong
  43. system configuration will be restored, making your PC inaccessable!

  50. message which tells you that this program writes directly to disk.

  56. TbUtil restored the CMOS data and/or partition table and/or
  57. bootsector of your hard disk!
  58. It is recommended to reboot the system now.

  63. Reboot the machine and test it.
  64. If the machine does not boot properly, you can restore the original
  65. partition table using the 'restore' option of TbUtil, or by using
  66. the DOS 5+ 'FDISK /MBR' command.

  68. If the new partition code works properly,
  69. you should backup it to a floppy using the TbUtil 'store' option.

  72. Warning! You want to immunize and/or clean the partition code
  73. (master boot record) of your harddisk. TbUtil will create a new,
  74. clean and virus resistant master boot record. The new partition
  75. code will be fully compatible with the original one. However,
  76. it is recommended to store the original partition code on a
  77. diskette. You can do that with the command:
  78.         TbUtil store a:tbutil.dat
